Travelling to the UAE during a pandemic

The UAE was one of the first to open its borders to travelers. Airports operate in the country, hotels welcome guests, beaches and parks are open, cafes and restaurants are happy to receive visitors, amusement parks and water parks operate. But new rules and precautions have emerged; one must follow that to avoid getting sick with coronavirus and infect others.

What to do if your test is positive and family members are negative

It may happen that you came to Dubai in a large company, passed the test, and it turned out to be positive for you, and everyone else is healthy. In this case, those who came with you will retake the test, and if it is confirmed that they are healthy, you can continue to rest. Well, the patient will have to go to the clinic or the observatory.

What is an Observatory in Dubai, and who is sent there?

The Observatory is a comfortable three to five-star hotel, specially equipped so that a person suffering from coronavirus could quarantine there. The observatory is well-fed, there is the Internet, but you cannot leave its limits.

If a sick person needs medical attention, they will be sent to the hospital. Your insurance must cover all costs.

How long does the observatory quarantine last?

The quarantine lasts 14 days.

Entertainment in Dubai: what works in fall and winter 2020

The Dubai authorities have taken a very responsible approach to organizing tours in the country, and now it is one of the safest tourist destinations in the world.

The emirate has a remarkable program that checks all hotels, cafes, restaurants, shops and shopping centres, beaches, and other places for recreation. If all COVID-19 prevention measures are followed in a vacation destination, a Dubai Assured certificate will be issued. Obtaining such a certificate means that the rest in this place is safe.

Thus, apartments and hotels, beaches and parks, cafes and restaurants, sports grounds and water parks, shopping centres and amusement parks have been opened in the emirate of Dubai.

Do I need to wear a mask and gloves in Dubai?

At the entrance to any institution or transport, some sensors check the temperature of visitors. You can use some disinfectants at any time.

Wear a mask in public places.

Gloves are optional, but packs of free gloves are everywhere, so you can use them if needed.

All employees of any institution work exclusively in a mask.

Who needs to keep their distance?

Tables in cafes or sun loungers on the beaches are at a distance of 2 meters from each other. In shops, restaurants and other public places, there are special marks on the floor that help visitors keep their distance.

The rule says that everyone should observe the distance unless you are relatives of the 1st and 2nd stages.

Relatives of the 1st degree are husband and wife, son and daughter, brothers and sisters.

Relatives of the 2nd level are grandparents, grandchildren, and granddaughters.

That is, if you come somewhere, for example, to a store, by the company of mom-dad-grandmother and grandson, then you do not need to keep your distance between yourself.

When you cannot wear a mask

In a cafe or restaurant, you can take off your mask after sitting down and making an order. However, if you are going to go to the cafe, you need to put on the mask again.

You do not need to wear a mask on the beach or by the pool.

You can also not wear a mask if you are driving with your family, that is, with relatives of the 1st and 2nd stages.

Also, you do not need to wear a mask if you are exercising or if there are no people around you.

Do children need to wear a mask?

Children under six years of age do not need to wear a mask.

What to do if the test is positive

If the test is positive, A medical professional will refer you to a clinic or observatory.

If the test is negative, you can go for a walk, the beach or go on an excursion. The UAE offers plenty of entertainment and services.

Getting around is easy as well. Again, you have multiple options to choose from. However, if you own a car, ensure that you equip the vehicle with the corresponding tyres. For example, suppose you own an SUV; one good fit would be the Falken Wildpeak H/T01.

Is there a fine in Dubai for non-observance of the mask regime?

Police, robots, and special drones are watching to ensure that residents and guests of the city wear masks correctly. The fine for violation of the mask mode is 3000 AED, which is more than $ 800.
