7 Simple Home Remedies for Knee Pain

What is knee pain? 

Knee pain has become a part of many people’s lives because it does not go away. This pain can start at any time. Usually, however, it is as you age. Whether due to an injury or a specific medical condition, knee pain can interfere with your daily activities. Depressive pain can last for hours or sometimes days altogether. 

The most common cause of knee pain right now is that everyone is dealing with – obesity. Obesity causes knee pain at any time as it causes more pressure on your knee joints. For some, it may become a lifelong problem. Many types of low back pain respond well to self-care measures. Physical therapy and knee strengthening can also help reduce knee pain. In some cases, however, your knee may require surgical repair. 

Causes of joint knee pain 

Knee pain can have a variety of causes. Obesity puts you at greater risk for knee problems. Excessive knee training can cause knee problems that cause pain.

Signs of knee pain 

The location and severity of knee pain may vary, depending on the cause of the problem. Symptoms and signs sometimes associated with knee pain include: 

  • Swelling and stiffness 
  • Redness and warmth to the touch 
  • Weakness or instability 
  • Explosion or explosion of sounds 
  • Inability to completely direct the knee 

Home Remedies for Joint Knee Pain 

 When someone is going through a joint knee pain, the first thing they do is rely on pain killers. But before you go out and visit a pharmacist and open some pills, try to think of natural remedies. 

1: Heat and cold treatment 

Both active heat and pressure act as anti-inflammatory. But the treatment you choose depends on the type of pain you have. Heat relaxes the muscles and improves flexibility, leading to a decrease in strength. For best results, you can use a hot water bottle or a warm pad. Ice can also be a good option at the end of a long day if your knee is swollen. You can wrap the ice cube in a cloth and place it on the affected part. 

2: Ginger 

Ginger contains anti-inflammatory substances that help reduce inflammation. This remedy is rich in a compound called gingerol, which fights inflammation. Topical use of ginger oil, as well as drinking ginger tea, can help. You can also cook ginger in hot water, honey and lemon. Drink 2- 3 cups a day until the pain subsides. 

3: Storm 

Turmeric is a magical spice with excellent health benefits. It contains antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidants. It contains Curcumin, an anti-inflammatory chemical found in turmeric, which has many antioxidant properties. Its root slows the progression of arthritis, which is one of the leading causes of knee pain. 

For immediate relief, boil one teaspoon of ground ginger and turmeric in a cup of water for 10 minutes. 

Strain, add honey to taste and drink this ‘tea’ twice a day. 

4: Tulsi Treatment 

Tulsi or holy basil is known for its magical effects in rheumatic arthritis. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic properties. Tulsi also works to alleviate the joint pain and pain associated with arthritis. You can drink Tulsi tea 3-4 times a day for relief from knee pain. 

5: Essential oils 

Massage with essential oils can give you immediate relief from joint pain. According to some studies, the essential oils of ginger and orange are effective in relieving knee pain. It relieves stiffness and reduces pain in the affected area. 

6: Cayenne Pepper 

This red and strong spice contains a substance called capsaicin, which acts as a natural painkiller. It temporarily uses the P-chemical in the brain to stimulate pain receptors that re-regulate the nerves, so that you do not feel pain in the joints. You can apply its paste to the affected area for immediate help. 

7: Epsom salt 

Epsom salt acts as an anti-inflammatory to reduce the pain associated with inflammation. It contains magnesium and sulphate both powerful ways to relieve pain. You can add a teaspoon of Epsom salt to your bath water and soak it for 30 minutes.
